The Mechanical Engineering program at Dalhousie provides a well balanced technical education.

It prepares the graduates to practice in design, research, development, fabrication, testing, processing, construction, operation, planning, sales, and management.

The program is very practical and it offers a wide range of lab experience.

TA POSITION - WINTER TERM 2010

Shell Eco-Marathon Car Team came 10th out of 44 entries in Fontana, California - and won the Media Award, which came with $500. See  Fontana photos and clips (video & print) on the teams' Senior Design web site. Be prepared - the black bat cave car was painted white for the competition.

Wind Powered Water Filtration Design Project Team, of Mechanical and Civil Engineering students, wins second place in WERC competition at New Mexico State University and is awarded "Best Wind to Mechanical Energy" award! See their Senior Design web site to learn more!!!
